AAPL has
a purpose built class 3500 clean room, incorporating temperature,
humidity and dust controls, as well as extensive ESD prevention
measures. Our "state of the art" equipment focuses on surface mount
technology, with placement machines from Panasonic, Yamaha and Juki.
Several
inert gas soldering processes are utilised including reflow, wave
solder, selective solder and robotic soldering giving us the capability
to manufacture products to the highest standards. We use in-house
developed functional testers as well as standard In Circuit Testing to
ensure products conform to our customers' requirements. Solder joint
integrity is checked using Automatic Optical Inspection.
