NYS (New Yazaki System) is a philosophy and process of company wide reform in order to meet the increasing demands of the global automotive industry in QCD.

NYS is primarily focused on continuous improvement (Kaizen) and elimination of waste (Muda) across all direct and indirect functions in the organization with a goal of improving quality.

NYS targets zero defects in products and processes. It involves fundamental mindset change so that no defective parts or process outcomes are passed on.

Techniques and tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Heijunka, Standardised Work, 5 Why analysis and QCC are all NYS philosophy tools. Company associates and ‘autonomation’ are fundamental to the success of NYS at AAPL.
