EMS Factory Tours
Fourth year marketing students from Chisholm Institute visited AAPL for a site visit. AAPL has opened its doors to its EMS and now conducts student tours, covering EMS policies, recycling activities, culture, objectives and targets.

We are currently making arrangements for environmental site visits of AAPL's premises to become part of the annual educational program for a number of local schools, with an assignment based on recycling and environmental awareness.
AAPL has also played host to a number of other environmental site visits by environmental teams, including Toyota and Autoliv, as well as a number of Environmental Managers from various large organisations.

AAPL was the Gold Sponsor for the Annual Frankston Sea Festival. The key objectives of the festival are to develop publicity and awareness of the Frankston waterfront through a range of activities designed to get community involvement and participation.
Environmental displays and interactive demonstrations touch tanks, videos, etc. being an integral part.
Frankston Susono Society
AAPL presented a cheque to the Frankston Susono Friendship Society on March 1, 2004, being a donation from IDC (AAPL Supplier) on behalf of Australian Arrow, for AAPL being their Customer of the Year 2003.

Dolphin Research Institute
AAPL has become a key sponsor of the Dolphin Research Institute, by subsidizing the Adopt a Dolphin family membership program. AAPL will subsidise some of the membership fee for 2005.
Friends of the Zoo
We have a number of associates that are friends of the Melbourne Zoo. We have set up collection points for corks and cardboard tubes which are used in the monkey and elephant cages. Fruit is placed in the tubes and provides monkeys an amusing and challenging method of obtaining their food. Shredded paper is also collected and forwarded either to the zoo or local pet shops as biodegradable lining for cages.
Reverse Art Truck
In an attempt to support local schools and further increase the level of recycling and re-using, we contacted the Reverse Art Truck to come and take as much of our recyclable materials as possible, like foam, plastic trays, reels etc. ideal for school art classes. It supplies local schools, organisations and individuals with a wide range of donated recycled materials of all shapes, sizes and textures. The Reverse Art Truck makes frequent pickups from our recycling collection area at the rear of the factory.

Community Support
AAPL sponsors dozens of community and charity organizations and charities, as well as a number of local sporting clubs and recreational clubs. These include the Red Cross, Rotary, Salvation Army, SIDS, Red Nose Day, etc. AAPL also coordinates a number of fund raising initiatives throughout the year for local charities.
