The SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Australasia held their annual awards night on Friday 5th August.

SAE Awards Finalist Plaque

AAPL had a very successful night making it into the Finalist Group and were awarded a Finalist plaque for the Optical Automated Software Tester. The Finalist award recognizes the hard work and effort of the Electronics Engineering team, specifically:

Eapen Eapen
Tien A. Nguyen
Scott Van Wykvliet
Matt Alsop

These tools make a direct improvement to the quality of our designs through our innovation and dedication.

The awards included an overview of AAPL and an overview of the Optical Automated Tester submission.

Commenting on the entries received this year, SAE-A President Prof. Harry Watson said "We were pleased to see a record number of eleven high quality entries covering a broad cross section of new technologies. Australian creativity in design, innovation and manufacturing ingenuity continues to gain in prominence internationally and is assisting the continued differentiation of the Australian automotive industry, based on technical capability and quality."
