The Yazaki fundamental policy is "a corporation in step with the world" and a "corporation needed by society. " A number of positive measures have been undertaken with an aim to meet the challenges facing a corporation competing in the global marketplace. Among them, further development of NYS (New Yazaki System) activities aimed at:
- strengthening our profit base and finances
- optimized global production and new business to combat hollowing out of the domestic economy
- global purchasing to reduce costs
- reinvigorated technical development
- optimized human resource allocation
- a fully integrated IT infrastructure
- in addition to laying the groundwork for an environmental product quality and management system
We believe that critical issues facing the automotive industry will include:
- competition to acquire the compact car market share for improved mileage performance global cars
- demand for even shorter vehicle development lead time to enable car makers to respond even faster to emerging market trends
Yazaki will continue its vigorous efforts to raise product quality, develop new and innovative technologies, and promote optimized global supply by fortifying our global purchasing, while strengthening the international business organisation that unifies corporate-wide development, production and sales.
