AAPL is a 2006 EDN Innovation Award Finalist for the second year in a row and has received a highly commendable status in this prestigious award.

Our submission "Automated Telematics Test System" has been declared as highly commendable in the category "Best Application of Test or Data Acquisition Equipment." Early in June our submission was selected as one of the finalists and last week at the Award night at the Palladium at Crown Casino, the judging panel announced AAPL's submission as highly commendable in this category.

As a leading magazine for Australia's electronics design community, EDN's award program has been established to recognise excellence in Australian Electronics and to reward the companies and individuals producing innovative electronics in the country today.

This award is an excellent recognition of the effort and hard work AAPL has put into automated testing.

The Test system consists of a PXI-based on-board data acquisition and instrumentation set. It uses several communication interfaces including CAN. It accelerates software development by serving as very efficient and effective means of running black box (functional) tests to detect faults. Overall, it cuts down software development cycle time and improves product quality by early detection of faults and non-conformances.
